The battle of Thermopylae I could remember it like it was yesterday. About 7,000 of our Greek soldiers fought off the Persians for about two days. I fought for my life and for my city state. I protected the leaders body from being taking. I killed thousands of Persians. They fought us but we fought back we were not going to let them take our city state Athens. No way not today not ever.

The smell of battle was like sweet and sour. Sweet because we were fighting for are city state. Sour because we watched are Greek soldiers, are brothers die in front of us. The air tasted like dried blood mixed with the swirling dust. I hear the screams and terror of my people being killed. The feeling of my weapon was cold and blood splats on my sword was a great feeling. once I open my eyes I see before me was many Persians dead. The war was still on till the death. If they plan to take over Greece they will have to go through us first Athenians. Although the Greeks lost we had enough time to assemble 200 boats.

This week we are  pinging edublogs for Challenge #6. Where would you volunteer? To me volunteering is important, I would volunteer at my local SPCA in Monterey County. I love animals in fact I want to be a Vet, plus I am not allergic to animals so that’s good.Plus, this will help me in the future because I will have experience  .I think volunteering is not about what you get in return but what you give back to your community. What do you think volunteering means? What would you to for your local community?

 The thing I will get in return is experience for the near future. You can volunteer you don’t have to be a certain age, but some places you have to be 18 or older to volunteer. You can mow lawns, walk dogs, or help a organization. You can help almost an organization as long as it is OK with an adult or parent. Some kids think oh volunteering is stupid or dumb. Well, lets say you were a hungry kid with no mom or dad and some one volunteers to help you then how would you feel. Volunteering is not a bad thing to it to give back to your community.

This last week I learned about the perimeter,area and circumference. Most of it was pretty easy but some was hard. A lot of this had to do with pi and if you don’t know what pi then it is 3.14 estimated. Another thing was finding the are of a circle that was a little confusing. Our class had to find the area of irregular shapes, and composite figures. A lot of this math is easy it has a lot to do with multiplying. I didn’t understand this a first because we never did this last year , but with the help of my tutorial group and more it is a piece of pi.

Dear Mom and Dad,

Hello it’s Marianna Sparta has become the most magnificent place ever don’t youthink. With the new laws the farmers get their rights now. Plus, the government now get their way now everything is clam and smooth. Plus, not as many slaves are around since we let them go there was just to many in Sparta. I am following in your foot steps mother I am very healthy and fit. Soon we will have the next Spartan baby,  I will have a baby in the next 4 months, and as strong as can be.

Sparta is growing and Athens is just the same their laws are the worst. I am so glad that I am a Spartan don’t you think mother and father. Hopefully all people will have free rights so every one man or woman would be able to vote, own land and more. There needs to be more men in the war healthy, strong,and intimidating men that’s what will win us all the wars without just scaring them .Their needs to be a law that says even if not fit be a Spartan boy to not to be killed.

In this post I’m pretending that I am 65 years old and giving advice to my middle school self. So far in my 65 years of life I have done so many things. I have 4 kids(2girls, 2boys). I work as a fashion designer in New York. There have been many things I have had to over come through out my life. I have gone to Collage

Some advice to my middle school self. You should be thankful for the things you have, don’t be greedy. Do right not the wrong. if I could change anything would be to spend more time with family because you never know how much time you have with them. I did do a lot of things right. I never dropped out of school. I always took the help that was given to me. I went to collage Stanford University  and got a collage degree. My 65 year life is like anybody life I have accomplished things have fallen in the way of my path. I over came them like when my dog died when I was little she was like a part of my heart ,but then when she died it put a hole in my heart, but I over came that.

Mean Median Mode Range is what we were learning this week in math class. This is a very easy subject at least for me. Mean is where you place your numbers from least to greatest then, add up all of your numbers ex. 1 4 5 6 7 7  and that comes out to 30, then you add up how many numbers there are = 6 numbers then you divide 30 by 6. Your Mean is 5. Then your Median is where the middle number is and if there is two numbers in the middle then you add up those to numbers ex. 5+6 equals 11 then you divide that by 2 and your Median is 5.5 . Now the Mode is if there is any repeating numbers like in the ex. above 7 is your Mode  is 7. finally your range is when you subtract the smallest from the largest number ex. 7-1. Your Range is 6.
